Swimming assessment at Sports School

Lucas's current swimming school had alot of changes in the mgmt team. Kept changing coach after a few months and no progress since early this year. Decided to transfer him to the Sports School swimming lesson. Went for the assessment today, his current level will be SS4. SS9 is the complete level. Still a long way to go.

To my surprises that he could swim quite well now. Freestyle, breast stroke and back stroke.

We saw Saturn!!

Mummy learnt from a Auntie that they will be stars viewing at Admiral Garden CC, near our house. We were amoung the first few to arrive, they were still setting up the telescope when we arrived.

We saw Saturn and some bright stars. Is a good eye opening experience for us.

Saturn is the sixth planet from the Sun and is the second largest in the solar system, after Jupiter, with an equatorial diameter of 119,300 kilometers (74,130 miles). Much of what is known about the planet is due to the Voyager explorations in 1980-81. Saturn is visibly flattened at the poles, a result of the very fast rotation of the planet on its axis. Its day is 10 hours, 39 minutes long, and it takes 29.5 Earth years to revolve about the Sun. The atmosphere is primarily composed of hydrogen with small amounts of helium and methane. Saturn is the only planet less dense than water (about 30 percent less). In the unlikely event that a large enough ocean could be found, Saturn would float in it. Saturn's hazy yellow hue is marked by broad atmospheric banding similar to, but fainter than, that found on Jupiter.

Saturn, along with Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune, is classified as a gas giant.

Saturn's ring system makes the planet one of the most beautiful objects in the solar system. The rings are split into a number of different parts, which include the bright A and B rings and a fainter C ring.

When did I start my swimming lesson? Think was sometime back in Nov'08. Compared to where I started, I'm proud to say that I had tremendous improvement.

I'm not scared of water, I dare to jump into the water. I can swim the breadth with board. I can swim back stroke with board...

log cake making

Christmas is coming... Log cake is sure not to be missed. Mummy signed up for a parent-child baking session from GeniusRUs. There are a few other centres that organise parent-child baking class, like CreativeCulinaire, Bakerzin, Sugar-Inc.. Bakerzin seems to be quite hot, cookies and log cake session are all fully booked. After searching, only GeniusRus can suit mummy's schedule

After mixing, put in cocoa powder and butter, need to stir in one direction untill all the butter is fully blend in.

Spread it on the tray and is ready to bake.

After remove from oven, turn it and roll it. and is ready to put the cream and decorations.

Log cake is ready now.

Kumon Achievement Award

I started Kumon when I was in K2, about 2.5yrs there.

This year Advanced Student Honour Roll (ASHR) ceremony is held at their own centre - Admiralty. Very excited about this award, though is just a Bronze. This is the first time I'm getting a award for my study.

Aiming for Sliver next year!

Swimming lesson

Today is the first swimming lesson conduct by Sports Lifestyle at Admiral Hill.
As today is the first lesson, coach just gave us introduction and little swim. Every lesson, coach will give stars based on our class performance. Once we accumulate enough stars, we will be able to exchange for a free gift, eg sticker book, note book. I got 2 stars today, max is 3 stars. Got to work harder next week

Opps! I'm not from this class... didi suppose to be in this class... but he refused.

I can cycle

This bicycle was given to us by Ah Ma's neighbour quite some times ago. At last I'm tall enough to ride now. KorKor has another bigger bicycle at home. Gugu promised to bring us for cycling next week!

H for Hand

This is the first letter I love to write. H is for Hand and mummy taught me how to draw a hand. Is easy, put your left hand on the board and use your right to trace.
Though the tracing is abit out lah, but at least is my own master pieces leh.

So proud of myself! Like winning a trophy!
